We have a large selection of Mosser Glass available for sale in the Shop, all colors from red to cobalt blue.
I was curious about the origins of Mosser Glass. Orie Mosser was a plant manager for Cambridge Glass, over 50 years ago. When Cambridge Glass closed in 1954, his son Thomas decided he wanted to open a glass manufacturing facility. In 1959, he began to manufacture glassware in, of all places, an abandoned chicken coop. Within 2 years, he moved from the chicken coop and opened Variety Glass, producing glassware for the pharmaceutical industry.
In 1971, Thomas established Mosser Glass adding new designs with timeless classics acquired from Viking, L.G. Wright and, of course, Cambridge Glass.
We have folks who have collected Depression glass, Jadeite glass over the years who enjoy buying Mosser Glass. It is affordable and usable, adding a wonderful complement to their own collection of vintage antique glass collections.
